Brightest In The Room Inc. ("BITR", "we") is a painting company based at 99a Wychcrest Ave, Toronto, ON M6G 3X9, serving the Greater Toronto Area and Metro Vancouver. We are accountable for the personal information in our care and handle it under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law.

• Contact details — your name, email, phone, and project address.
• Project details — what you want painted, measurements, photos or drawings you send, colour choices, and notes from our conversations.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Website usage — basic analytics (pages viewed, general location, device) to improve the site. See section 6.

To prepare and send your quote, schedule and complete your project, invoice and take payment, provide warranty service, respond to your messages, and — only with your implied or express consent — follow up about your project or let you know about services that may be relevant. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time (reply "unsubscribe" or "STOP").

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, under agreements that limit them to providing their service:

• Email delivery (Resend) and text messaging (Twilio) to communicate with you.
• Payment processing (Stripe) to take deposits and payments securely.
• Database and hosting (Supabase, Vercel) to operate our systems.
• Analytics (Google, Microsoft Clarity) to understand and improve the website.

Some of these providers may process data outside Canada. We use providers that commit to recognized security and privacy standards. We may also disclose information where required by law.

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and tax requirements, then securely delete or anonymize it. We protect it with access controls, encryption in transit, and reputable, security-reviewed providers.

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to remember your region and to measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect some features.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time. We will respond within a reasonable time. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
